Biography

  • Works  as a liaison between the Board of Directors of FER, pharmaceutical companies and patients to promote education, coordinate and carry out all educational activities and raising funds for the cause of the FER.
  • Produces, directs and conducts the Saturday radio program of FER, "Hablemos de Reumatología con  Fundación FER" since 2016.
  • Has worked as an independent consultant for a local firm that specializes in professional management, business displacement, directed training, leadership, "coaching", customer service and executive development, among others.
  • Has a B.A. in Education, Cum Laude with major in Spanish language of high school, from the Universidad de Puerto Rico, Río Piedras campus.
  • Although she was educated to become a professor of Spanish Literature, most of her professional experiences have focused on customer service and business management.
  • For 7 years, she also worked for ITT World Directories, first in the Sales Department and then as Distribution Manager for San Juan Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. 
  • She was in charge of the annual distribution of approximately 2M telephone directories. In 1993 she was awarded the ITT "Q" Award for "outstanding personal contribution to the ITT Quality Program".
  • She began her professional career as a departures agent with Eastern Airlines at the Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She completed her work experience of 13 years as Shift Manager for Passenger Services at the EAL San Juan terminal.
